About the Department
The Department of Hindi is one of the oldest departments of the college and offers UGCourses in
Hindi at the Special as well as at the general level. The department is very keen on the all-around
development of the students and conducts students’ centric curricular and co-curricular activities.
The department celebrates National Day for Hindi (Hindi Din) and conducts various
competitions like Essay Writing, Elocution, Poetry Recitation, and role-playing. All these
competitions serve to establish the significance of Hindi Language as a second language and
national link language. They also develop the soft skills of the students related to the Hindi
Language. The department also organizes guidance for Competitive and NET/SET exams for the
students. Through the Guest Lecture series, the department makes students aware of Hindi
Literature and recent trends in it. The department has qualified and research-oriented faculty with
publications of books and research papers.
