About the library

Our College has a well-maintained library, having around 53216 books with latest magazines and Journals. Reading room facility is also available with individual study zones for staff members as well as for students. The library is well equipped with Audio-visual aids and it is computerized. Special scheme for poor students i.e. Poor Boys’ Book Bank Facility (P.B.F. ) is implemented consisting of 8569 books, which are given to the students for the academic year. The College Library has the Inter-Library borrowing facility with Y.C.M.O.U., Nashik. Since the college houses Y.C.M.O.U. study center, our sister institute like Pharmacy College and Institute of Management are also linked with the Library. Delnet: - online inter library loan facility has started in library.

The Inflibnet facility is sanctioned under U.G.C., HRD of the Central Govt. with the help of INFLIBNET. Under NLIST Programme an access to 6000 E-Journals and 799500 + ebooks is made available to readers. This facility is being provided to research scholars, students and academicians. The Library timings are from 8 A.M. to 5.30 P.M.

Shree Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati Temple Trust, our college library department has received 2,269 books worth Rs.3,59,455 free of charge. Around 210 students from needy and economically weaker sections will get the benefit of this book bank Scheme under.

Library Advisory Committee

A Library Advisory Committee has been constituted in order to ensure proper administration of the library. It consists of a Chairman (Principal), a student representative, a Secretary (Librarian) and Other 8 members. LAC meets twice a year to review the library related matters. The LAC has well defined objectives.

  • Library forms an integral part of an academic institution. A library committee has been constituted to facilitate effective and smooth functioning of the library.
  • The advisory committee meets 2 times in an academic year to take decisions about various issues related to library facilities, services and its execution for better functioning.

Functions of the Library Advisory Committee

  • To formulate rules and regulations of the library.
  • To do Annual planning and Annual Budget Provision.
  • To purchase essential books, journals etc. as required by HOD, teachers and students.
  • To make arrangement for proper storage of books.
  • To make improvement in safety, security and facilities.
  • To provide every possible support and guidance to the librarian.
  • To consider and put forward the views and ideas of faculty and students regarding selection and acquisition of library resources (i.e. books journals etc.) and other library services.To explore possibilities of establishing academic ties with other library bodies.

Library Services

Reference Services : On demand reference service provided to the students & faculty members by using open source on internet and Encyclopedia.

Online Public Access Catalogue : Library provides Online Public Access Catalogue Facility to all the Students and Staff of the College. A Separate dedicated system is available at the entrance of the library for searching books from the catalogue.

Reprography : Facility is available (Xeroxing, scanning &printing facility is available and is provided).

Circulation : Issue & Return of reading material such as Books, Journal & Periodicals, Project Reports, Multimedia, etc.

Email Service : On demand soft copy of Syllabus, Question Papers etc. provided to the students & faculty members by using email on internet.

User orientation/ Information literacy : Librarian takes lecture of New Admission class for orientation and how to find different resources by using OPAC, internet and open sources.

Information Display and notification : Library information such as New Arrivals, Library Rules, Notices, News Paper Clipping, FAQ, etc. are displayed on Library Notice Board from time to time.

Open access : System to are all Students.

Reading Room Facility : The college library has separate reading rooms for students and staff. The student’s reading room can accommodate maximum 125 students at a time. This reading room has been furnished with modern furniture. It also has toilet facility. Apart from this ample number of tube lights and fans has been fitted to provide good ambiance to the students to read.

ILL (Inter Library Loan Service) : The college library has interlibrary borrowing facility with YCMOU, Nasik. Our sister institutes like College of Pharmacy and Institute of Management are also linked with our college library.

DELNET : Online inter library loan facility has started in library.

INFLIBNET facilities : The library is an institutional member of INFLIBNET and with this facility access to 6000 e-journals and 31,350,00 e-books is made available to faculty and students by Broad Band link.

Scanner / Reprography Facility also available in the library.

Poor Boys Fund (PBF) Scheme : Our library runs poor boys fund Scheme. Under this scheme economically poor and needy students are given books for entire year. They return the books after the annul examination.

Digital Identity Card Services : Yearly about 3500 Identity cards are issued to Students by our Library Section.

Newspaper Clipping Service : News paper are the most Important news, events, organized by college, achievements of staff & students and other important information are collated from different news paper properly kept for reference.

General Rules of Library

General Rules of Library

  • Library will remain open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on all working days. Reading Room timings will be extended during exams as per students demand.
  • Every student must possess Identity Card while making use of library services and facilities and has to produce when demanded by the library staff.
  • Every student should get his ID issued from the library at the time of admission. No ID will be issued after the prescribed date or period. In special cases or under genuine circumstances, the ID will be issued after obtaining the principal’s permission and paying the requisite fine.
  • In case a student loses his/her ID, it should be reported to the library. He/ she should apply for the duplicate ID after paying the fee of Rs. 100/-.
  • Every student can borrow two books at a time for the period of seven days. Thereafter fine of Rs. 2/- per day will be charged on every delay.
  • Books and other reading materials issued to a student may be renewed only once provided there is no reservation against it.
  • Users must handle the books carefully. Books that are lost, torn, damaged or mutilated (i.e. tearing of pages, marking it with pen or pencil and the like) can be dealt with seriously. One and half times of the original price or more will be charged for such documents or may be asked to replace it with latest edition.
  • No lost document shall be accepted once the recovery is made.
  • Users are requested to check the document being borrowed is complete and no pages are missing form it before they leave the circulation counter. Such defect should be brought to the notice of the librarian or library personnel. If such defect is found at the time of the return user be accountable for it and will be charged accordingly.
  • The reference books, rare books, newspapers, current issues or bound volumes of periodicals are intended to be used in the library premises only. In special case the librarian has discretion to issue it to the library member.
  • Newly arrived book shall be displayed on the ‘New Arrivals Stand’ or showcase for specific period after its processing and till that time they cannot be issued. However users can reserve it in advance.
  • Users can photocopy or print the document within the limits of copyright act and shall be solely responsible in case of its violation.
  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the library. Indiscipline may lead to disciplinary action.
  • Books and other reading materials will be issued to the students as per the circulation timetable.
  • Library membership is not transferable. The student should not give his/her ID to others to borrow the books from the library. Library membership shall be cancelled in case of misuse of the ID Card.
  • Use of mobiles, iPods and other musical instruments are strictly prohibited in the library premises.
  • Use of eatable in the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Students should take utmost care to keep the library clean.
  • Students should not cause harm any instrument or furniture in any way. Such action may lead to suspension of library membership.
  • Library Rules and Regulations shall be modified from time to time and shall be binding to all concerned.
  • Students should not argue with the counter staff in any case. They can approach to the librarian for their complaints and suggestions or can drop it in the suggestion box.

Rules for Reading Room

  • Library Reading Room will remain open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on all working days. Reading Room timings will be extended during exams as per students demand.
  • Every student must possess Identity Card while making use of library services and facilities and has to produce as and when demanded by the library staff.
  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the library room. Indiscipline may lead to disciplinary action.
  • Use of mobiles, iPods and other musical instruments are strictly prohibited in the library premises.
  • Use of eatable in the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Students should take utmost care to keep the library clean.
  • Students should not cause harm to any instrument or furniture in any way. Such action may lead to suspension of library membership.

Rules for U.G.C. Network Resource Centre

  • Every student should possess ID and should enroll his name in Internet Usage Register.
  • Students can use Internet and Computing facility for academic purpose only.
  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained by everybody.
  • Students should not cause harm to any instrument or furniture of this section.
  • Students can have printouts of important documents from Internet after prior permission from the Librarian or concerned staff.
  • Visiting restricted websites is strictly prohibited. Use of Internet for checking mails or social networking websites such as face book,twitter etc. for long time is strictly prohibited.
  • Student can use this facility for one hour per day. Pen drives, Card Readers can be used after prior permission from Librarian or concerned staff.

Library timings

The Library is open for 9.30 hrs. a day on all days except Sundays and Public/college holidays

Working hours : 8.00 AM to 5.30 PM

Issuing Timings : Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Saturday : 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

The Library remains closed on Sunday and on College Holidays.

The Library maintains an Institutional Repository by the use of DSpace software. Campus wide access is available on intranet. User can access to important contents in the digital form as mentioned below
