Literary Association

The Literary Association of Loknete Vyankatrao Hiray Arts, Science and Commerce College, Panchavati, Nashik is based upon the spirit of developing and cultivating the best of the under-developed talents, to polish and refine them so that their personalities sparkle among the rest of human beings and they stand apart in the sea of crowds once they step out of the course from this institution. It is not to be imagined that students will drift into mental excellence without an effort.Though our most of the students are coming from rural areas, there are many minds that are brilliant but in the face of lack of suitable opportunities and platform they get lost in oblivion. The literary Association offers a platform for such undermined brilliant minds who require a proper space to vent out the energetic literary spirits.

The Literary Association of our college plans and organizes diverse range of literary activities for students of the LVH College. Students are encouraged to participate in various events that are organized throughout the academic year. The activities range from debates, elocutions, and story-telling competitions along with poetry recitation & poetry writing. Marathi Literary Association popularly known as ‘Marathi Vangmay Mandal’ conducts various kinds of programs and competitions every year based on Marathi literature to inculcate and develop liking towards state language of Maharashtra i.e. Marathi. These programs include ‘Poetry Recitation Competition’, ‘Marathi Essay Writing Competition’, ‘Guest Lectures on various literary work in Marathi’ and also it celebrates on grand scale ‘Jagatik Marathi Bhasha Din’ i.e. ‘World Marathi Day’ on 27th February every year. Students take active part in all these activities. It is the place where students are free to think, read and write on the topics of their interest and choice.

Literary association plays a vital role in our college by promoting reading and writing as essential skills for personal and professional growth. Through various activities, organization encourage students to develop critical thinking, communication, and creative expression skills by promoting and encouraging them for various competitions like,debating,elocution,drama competitions and poetry recitation etc..

Aim:

Objectives :

• To encourage students become orators to display their intellectual and independent thinking skills and imbibe a sense of confidence.
• To promote communication skills of students and help in team work, ability to speak and emote before an audience thereby increasing the emotional quotient of the students.
• To promote reading and writing.
• To support and encourage writers.
