About Parijat

The college has a long tradition of Theme- based Annual (College Magazine). Every year the college publishes its Annual entitled Parijat. The Parijat is a platform for students to explore their talents for creative writing. The Annual is published in three languages viz. Marathi, Hindi and English. The students contribute to the Magazine in the form of Articles, write-ups, essays, short stories and poems. The students prepare their creative drafts under the guidance of the teachers. However, the students have the freedom to give expression to their creative ideas. The Parijat is a Theme-based magazine. every year the current topic is set as the theme of the Magazine and students are sensitized to it by seminars, group -discussions, published reviews and study material and thus, motivated to think on the topic and come out with their innovative ideas. Some of the significant themes of the Magazine are water Management, Agricultural Marketing, Energy Conservation, Agricultural Business, Communication Skills, Tribal Life, Environmental challenges, Women Empowerment and Biodiversity. The college has received recognition of Savitribai Phule Pune University and Yashwantrao Chavan Foundation, Mumbai.

Objectives

• 1. To avail a platform for the creative talent of the students
• 2. To sensitize students to different current issues.
• 3. To motivate students to contemplate and write on a particular topic
• 4. To make students aware of job -opportunities for the creative writing
• 5. To avail freedom of expression to students.
